Safety is the whole point.
MedMile drivers move people to and from medical care. We take that seriously.
Driver verification
Every driver submits a valid driver's license, insurance, and (where required) a state-issued NEMT credential before being listed.
Document review
Our team manually reviews every document. Drivers can't accept rides until approved.
Vehicle inspection
Drivers attest to passing a current vehicle inspection. Wheelchair-accessible vehicles disclose lift/ramp specs.
Mobility-aware matching
Riders tell us what they need (ambulatory, wheelchair, stretcher) and we surface drivers who can provide that level of support.
In-app messaging
Clients and drivers coordinate through the MedMile platform — no need to share personal contact info up front.
Reporting & moderation
Any client or driver can report a concern. Our team reviews reports and can suspend accounts.
Not for emergencies
MedMile is for scheduled, non-emergency rides. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911. MedMile drivers are not ambulance providers and are not equipped to handle medical emergencies en route.
